Make. It. Work. Another fooking 40-minute wait for the bus. Me and about 12 (incredibly patient) 14-year-olds and three adults. Summer camp kids, I think. I boarded the bus last so as not to hold it up further while I asked the driver: Do you know why there was such a delay? His answer: Our leader is missing. I did NOT say: What does that even mean? Not much of a leader if s/he is missing! Be your own leader! Pfffffffffffffffffffffft. (Yes, I know the leader is the first bus on the schedule on a particular route.) Fare hike July 1, incredibly high sales tax. What's up SF? Is this the kind of mass transit this "model green city" deserves? Is it the kind we've paid and worked for? Been taking the bus for 17 years and, despite ongoing lip-service paid to "improving service," service has hit a 17-year low. I know there's construction, I know there are tourists, but please, you must have planned for that? Taken that into account ahead of time--i.e., again, planned? Really really fed up. All that time wasted. Keep this up and even the most conscientious among us will drive. Posted by Melissa Price at 12:03 PM
