Some of us had done a lot of living by age 30.

Some of us got tired.

What started at age 11 never really let up.

And even when things seemed to improve in actuality, it was already too late.

Anxiety kindles anxiety, until finally it runs along its own phantom lines.

How surprising that we're here at all.



Because there's always a substantially less-tarnished side: Hardboiled eggs are good. Monty Python is good. Eating hardboiled eggs while watching Monty Python is about as good as it gets. -- severely revising prior expectations
