oh the little people had ...

... grapefruit-sized heads and itsy-bitsy brains, yet still managed to make sophisticated tools out of stone.

so what's my excuse?

a friend of a friend recently confessed that he'd asked his mom for a past-life regression um session for his 14th birthday. during said session it was revealed to him that he had once been a famed maker of widgets.

someone at the ymca keeps asking about astrology because i made the mistake of telling them i know embarrassingly much about it but don't necessarily, you know, believe.... aries/pisces cusp saturn on my sun with leo rising moon in leo venus in taurus mars in scorpio pisces in mercury virgosss in i forget which. and some other junk. doubtless i am an artist, psychic and healer who wants to make the world a better place.

as are you.

David Foster Wallace on Borges Biography

Another highlight from yesterday (seems I'm always late):

David Foster Wallace on Borges biography in the Times Book Review section--smart and insightful (Borges is and is beside the point).

Green Festival

Highlights:

George Lakoff book that R. scored. Heightened Lakoff-awareness in general, synchronicities ... Imaginary dinner conversations ...

Stepping back outside, where there was air, light, and space.

R--returning a phone-call from someone who'd also attended--left a joking message: "Man I got tossed out of the Green Festival. I got into a fight and they threw me out. So I'm outta here in two cabs."
